Qurratulain, قرّة العين, Kur-ah-tul-ayne.
I am 26 years old, a periodic writer and lover of everything literary. If I was not Muslim, I would have words tattooed in mosaics across the tapestry of my skin.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Masters in Creative Writing. Up until very recently, I was running my own proofreading company and working as a freelance copywriter. However, after spending the last 12 months travelling through Europe, I decided that I wanted to live overseas and am currently in the process of seeking employment.
I have 14 piercings, drink coffee like a Gilmore, use my hair colour as a measurement of time and have an existential crisis at least twice a day. Charles Bukowski would say ‘she’s mad but she’s magic, there is no lie in her fire.’
I like to think of my pen as a conductor's baton, orchestrating movement inside bodies until feeling becomes symphony and you're left holding on to the hems of your skin.
Thank you for crossing my path. Enjoy your stay.
